Pell aid boosts private colleges and universities


An infusion of public funds
will benefit private universities
as more freshmen locked out of public universities
turn to South Florida's private schools.

Florida A&M University faces budget cuts while the state's private colleges and universities are benefiting from the first federal large-scale infusion of financial aid approved by Congress.

Florida's budget issues could mean tuition increases and capped enrolment at FAMU.

This is intentionally done to decrease enrollment at FAMU. FAMU had gotten to big for its britches.
