Florida Governor, Rick Scott campaigned against President Barack Obama's stimulus program; yet he kept nearly $370 million of the federal cash in the Florida budget he signed in May of 2011.
Rick Scott accepted the stimulus money in a year when he touted record budget vetoes of up to $615 million. He acknowledged the vetoes of "wasteful" spending at a May 26, 2011 event that featured a campaign-style "Promises made, Promises Kept" banner.
But when Scott ran for office last summer, he said he would fight all stimulus money. Well that was a promise unkept.
The stimulus money that the Republican State legislators and Scott aproved touched many areas, but not education.
During the campaign, Scott bashed stimulus money while holding a financial interest in a telecommunications company that received a stimulus grant.
