Surplus Teacher

Since August 20, 2012, the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year for Miami-Dade County Public Schools until November 30, 2012, I was a surplus teacher.

On the day of November 30, I was told by the principal that starting Monday, December 3, I would no longer be a surplus teacher, but I would once again be a regular teacher. Today, December 3, it really happened, I am no longer a surplus. I am a regular teacher again.

I once again have my own classes.

Be obedient to God, and watch what God will do.

I still travel approximately 35 miles to work, and 35 miles on the return trip home, a total of approximately 70 miles a work day, 5 days a week. I would still like to have a transfer to a school that would be closer to home.

But I am still thankful to God for grace and mercy.
